Witney & District Museum The Collection The material on display in the Museum is only a small part of the Collection. See archives and photographs Collection policy The Museum collects artefacts from the local area or which have close association within Witney & a 10mile radius. It is unable to accept large items since the premises are too small to display them properly. Some things which the Witney & District Museum are unable to accept may be passed on to the Oxfordshire Museums services, who have more capacity. Acquisition team The team meets regularly to inspect items donated to the Museum before they are added to the official catalogue Conservation Items in the Museum are kept under controlled conditions. Any damaged artefacts are sent away for professional treatment.
